Denis Dias

Denis Dias was born on September 25, 1998 in Sintra, Portugal. He started his musical studies in violin at the Conservatório of Sintra, in 2006. At the age of 11, he moved to another city to attend EPABI (Professional School of Arts of Beira Interior) with João Mendes and later moved to Lisbon again to finish highschool with Ana Pereira at Escola Metropolitana, in Lisbon. Denis had the opportunity to work with numerous instrumentalists such as Ani Schnarch, Ilona Dhio Sio Ho, Marta Eufrásio, Eliot Lawson, Sidónio Araujo, Daniela Radu, Sergei Krylov, Luis Pacheco da Cunha, Adrian Florescu, Natasja Morozova and Jolente de Maeyer. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor Course at Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Tilburg in the class of Mathieu van Bellen.

Cláudia Carvalho

Portugal 2001

Cláudia Carvalho (2001) began her violin studies at the age of 7 at Conservatório de Guimarães with Filipa Abreu as her teacher. At age 10, she won her first competition in Concurso Santa Cecília 2011. Cláudia was also awarded with different prizes in the competitions Prémio Nacional Elisa Sousa Pedroso, Concurso Paços Premium, Concurso Marília Rocha, among others. She participated in different orchestras (Orquestra Sub-12 da Capital Europeia da Cultura, Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa, Orquestra Sinfónica Ensemble, Orquestra de Guimarães, etc.) where she had the opportunity to work with the conductors Vítor Matos, Pedro Carneiro, Cesário Costa, Filipe Senna, David Bruchez-Lalli and Leon Spierer. In Masterclasses, Cláudia had the opportunity to work with violinists like Elliot Lawson, Eliseu Silva, Jacqueline Ross, Emanuel Salvador, Ilya Grubert, Leon Spierer and Ole Bohn. Cláudia is currently doing her bachelor in Classical Violin with Jolente de Maeyer at Fontys Hogeschool voor the Kunsten, in the Netherlands.

Alba Huuse

Norway 2000

Alba Vivaldi Huuse began studying violin with Thorn Magnus Reymert in Oslo, Norway. In 2019, she graduated from the music program at Edvard Munch VGS in where she studied with Erik Fossum Svendsen, who is specialized in folk music. She is currently doing her bachelor in classical violin with Chris Duindam at Fontys Hogeschool voor de kunsten in Tilburg, Netherlands. Alba participated in projects such as the Christmas Ballet tour with Stefan Plewniak and Il´Giardino d´Amore in 2016, Christmas wonderland tour with Stan Plewniak, Stefan Plewniak and the Feelharmony big band in 2017 Drømmekonserten with Elbjørg Hemsing in 2018, and Carmen with singers Natalia Kawalek and Didrik Solli Tangen in 2019. Alba appears on the album with Nor59 string orchestra "Shostakovich & Tchaikovsky" recorded by Ëvoe Records in 2018, as well as the soundtrack for the movie "Ekspedisjon Knerten" (2017). She is currently an active member of Rosin Octet.

Glenn van Hoof

Netherlands 2001

Glenn van Hoof is an inspired musician. She is a musical violinist for whom it is important to convey all the emotions and stories hidden in the music to the audience and to her fellow players. She studies with Jolente de Maeyer at the Conservatory in Tilburg, and also takes lessons with Lisanne Soeterbroek. Besides being a violinist in the Rosin Octet, she also plays with the Nationaal Jeugdorkest. Not only does Glenn bring her passion for music to people with classical music, but she also has expertise in other styles. She has played in the Young Metropole several times and is a violinist in Attacca, a gyspy band. Besides her violin playing, Glenn is also active as a conductor. With this she transfers her musical ideas to a (symphony) orchestra.

Kevin Morales Rey

Spain 1995

Kevin Morales Rey (1995, Buenos Aires) is an Argentinian/Spanish Viola player. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Performance (Viola) in Conservatorio Superior de A Coruña (Spain) in 2021. During his Bachelor, he studied in Rome at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia with the Erasmus Program. He is currently studying the Master of Music at Fontys University of Applied Sciences with Emlyn Stam. Since he was 15 years old he started participating in renowned youth orchestras, such as Orquesta Joven de la Sinfónica de Galicia, Joven Orquesta de Canarias and World Youth Orchestra. With the latter he participated in international projects like the Al Bustan International Festival in Beirut, or the project Sounds for Brotherhood in Mostar and Sarajevo. In the professional field, he worked in projects as Viola tutti with Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and Orquesta Gaos and he also worked for the Mexican embassy as a violinist.

Adriana García

Cuba 2000

Adriana Hernández Garcia (2000, Cuba) is a cuban viola player. She won the provincial viola competition in Havana in 2015 and graduated from the Cuban National School of Arts in 2019. She then worked as a tutti violist in the National Symphonic Orchestra of Cuba, and taught violin and viola at the elementary music school Alejandro Garcia Caturla. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Classical Viola at Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts with Lisa Eggen. She has received masterclasses from Joan Berkhemer and Frank Brakkee. She is currently playing as a tutti violist at the Brabant Chamber Orchestra, she is an active member of the Rosin Octet and the Nymphaea String Quartet. She has worked in projects together with Brabant Koor and Kamerata Zuid and played in different concert halls like Concertzaal Tilburg, Willem Twee Toonzaal in Den Bosch, De Kring Rossendaal and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.

Ade Nicolas

Indonesia 2001

Nico has been a musician ever since he was young. He started the piano at the age of 7 and later on picked up the cello at the age of 11. He started studying the cello in Jakarta Conservatory of Music with Sulistyo Rini, Bryant Gozali and Haryo Suyoto. He is now enrolled at Fontys Conservatorium as a third-year bachelor under the tutelage of Monique Heidema. Aside from being a full time student, Nico also performs both as soloist and chamber musician and is a replacement teacher in different schools around the Netherlands. Nico has had the opportunity to work with eminent teachers, such as Mathieu van Bellen, Storioni Trio and Harro Ruijsenaars, and to participate in the projects Ocrum Muziek Festival (2021), Fundraising Jogja Covid Relief Funds (2021), Willem Twee Chamber Music Competition (2022), and Reflection on our Time (2022).

Carlotta Rall

Germany 2002

Carlotta Rall was born in 2002 in Germany. Having lessons with several teachers opened a broad perspective to music and its interpretation. Especially the lessons with Dita Lammerse, cellist of the german 'SWR Symphonieorchester', shaped Carlotta Rall and introduced her to contemporary cello music. In 2020, she moved to Tilburg, Netherlands, to study at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts with Paul Uyterlinde. Carlotta played in projects and concerts with the SWR Symphonieorchester under the direction of Francois Xavier Roth, the Freiburger Barockorchester, including two concert tours to Tel Aviv, Israel, and with the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet and the Kammerorchester der Freunde des Rascher Saxophonquartetts under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies.
